I am a third year International development and Languages student, currently on placement at CEIP Alfàndec, Valencia, as an English language assistant.I am an ambitious individual who is constantly searching to learn and develop new skills. I aspire to follow a career in journalism and I am open to any opportunities and experience available to me. I have always been passionate about languages. Throughout secondary school I studied French which I continued to study at A Level. After my A levels, I decided to take a gap year before starting University. During this time, I moved to the city of Granada in Spain, where I studied Spanish at an advanced level. During my time in Spain, I met many people from different cultures and backgrounds, which further fuelled my curiosity into international studies and languages. I continue to study Spanish at University and have also recently began studying German at a beginners level.Through part time work in hospitality, I have developed excellent communication and active listening skills which I believe to be essential in many careers. Working in hospitality has also taught me leadership skills and the ability to work as a team which I hope to apply in future job roles.
