I am a neurodiversity-affirming advocate with 14 years of experience in education. Initially using traditional compliance-based methods, my perspective shifted dramatically when I explored the intersection of neuroscience, neurodiversity and teaching and learning. I serve on the executive board of Neural Education, engaging with the latest research and delivering professional development to educators. After earning an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, I worked as Director of Student Services at Steilacoom Historical School District, integrating educational neuroscience and neurodiversity principles across various environments. My practice focuses on creating support systems tailored to individual needs, prioritizing autonomy, self-efficacy, and inclusive environments. Now, as co-founder of ShiftEd Perspectives, I am passionate about removing barriers and fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments.
