I am an occupational therapist who is flexible and competent in a variety of settings. I currently work at DCH hospital and float between a variety of settings including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and the NICU as needed. I received my MSOT from UAB in 2013. I have been an occupational therapist for 6 years. I began my career as a traveling contract occupational therapist in a variety of settings across the US including: SNF, inpatient rehab, outpatient adult and pediatric clinics, acute care, school system, and home health. I am a certified aging in place specialist. I am now pursuing my doctorate in education to learn how to motivate healthcare professionals to administer high quality services from an internal desire to provide the best care possible regardless of circumstance. My goal is to become a professor at a university that values teaching students to care about their patients, co-workers, and own well being by consistently providing quality care.
