My current role is as an HR Consultant with the Municipality of Prince Edward where I research, develop, recommend, implement, and manage various HR programs and initiatives for all of the departments in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements. In December 2021, I finished a contract as a Strategic HR Business Partner at Women's College Hospital, where I partnered with specific client groups to provide leadership, support and strategic business thinking in clinical and non-clinical settings. I was initially introduced to WCH as a Specialist and a co-author of their People Plan, the organization's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion document.During the contract with WCH, I continued to perform as a facilitator with The Cultural Human Resources Council to deliver workshops under the Respectful Workplaces in the Arts banner. These workshops were created to explore how to best address harassment situations through discussions of what is and is not a respectful workplace; a review of situations to identify how to create and sustain a respectful workplace; and a consideration of the roles of both employers and artists and cultural workers in establishing and maintaining a respectful workplace. In April 2021, I completed a two-term contract as a sessional instructor with Humber College's post-graduate Arts Administration program where I developed course curriculum for a class of 40+ students on Human Resources topics ranging from legislation to recruitment to performance management, and everything in-between. My previous position at the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) was responsible for the provision of consulting, resource/material creation and support to member companies on issues related to HR and employer compliance, and ensuring the administration of PACT’s financial and administrative programs. Prior to these roles, I was at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre which included a placement as Generalist with responsibilities in Labour Relations, Recruitment, and Compensation & Benefits. Prior to this, I worked as an Assistant in all three areas where my responsibilities included workshop development and facilitation. Before moving into Human Resources, I worked in the Toronto arts industry and from that I bring mad skills in public speaking, teamwork, working within ridiculously small budgets, and writing - although, admittedly, you might not be able to tell that I have mad skills in writing from this summary.
Listed skills include Public Speaking, Teamwork, Project Management, Employee Relations, and 12 others.
