Ever since I began my journey as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist, my aspirations have been to assist others in attaining their fitness and wellbeing objectives. This ambition has fuelled my aim to complete a BSc in sports therapy, which has enabled me to develop a more comprehensive understanding of both the human body and its mechanics. In my role as a personal trainer, massage therapist & sports therapy student I have shown that I am committed and passionate about working within this environment. I am a strong believer in helping people achieve their own fitness & wellness goals & can aid in their recovery and performance whether the client is an athlete or general fitness enthusiast. As a Sports Therapist I help people in the recovery of injures & support the individual throughout a rehabilitation programme by delivering a challenging and effective training programmes and making the safety of the client a priority. This ensures the client receives the guidance and support they need. I am focused on providing the best treatment plans treatment methods and endeavour to attain the results and goals that my clients aim to achieve. By doing this, I can give my clients the care, attention, and confidence to reach their full potential in their sport or activity. I am confident that I have acquired many years of experience along with the hands-on skills & possess the knowledge and commitment which enable me to continue to develop as a Sports Therapist. As an individual who is determined to learn, the knowledge includes injury assessment, exercise physiology, rehabilitation, biomechanics as well as sports nutrition & sports psychology. During my degree I have acquired over 100 external placement hours working alongside Physiotherapists & other Sports therapists in clinical & pitch side settings which has been valuable to enhance my knowledge. Upon achievement of my degree, I would like the opportunity to implement the skills & knowledge I have learnt throughout my course & my work experience in a clinical settings & pitch side trauma/first aid, both areas which I enjoy & feel that I would excel in.
