In this role, I gained valuable experience in the office of Advancement and Communications at Mary Washington. I brainstormed, interviewed subjects, and published two articles on UMW's website, below.

As an Editorial Board Member for the University of Mary Washington's first undergraduate research journal in humanities and social sciences, I am responsible for meeting hard deadlines and ensuring the final product is of the highest quality. I edit research papers, communicate with writers, plan events including writing workshops, speak to faculty and classes about academic publishing, and attend meetings with other board members.

In this role, I coordinate conferences and events, write and send a newsletter, manage several social media platforms, and manage a website. This program focuses on encouraging interreligious dialog and open conversation between members of different religious traditions, with a strong emphasis on community building.

I assisted the Office of Advancement, Donor Relations, and Stewardship and Annual Giving with administrative tasks. I filed paperwork, proofread university publications, wrote articles, and maintained relationships with donors.
