I am a recent CUNY Lehman College graduate of the Masters of Social Work Program and have an educational background in general practice. I am bilingual, certifications in RTE/AED/CPR Pro; SAMHSA SBIRT; CASAC-T, MAT Certificate for Substance Abuse; OCFS Foundations of Health & Safety; NYS Identifying & Reporting Child Abuse & Maltreatment; Food Protection Course for Special Food Programs; DOH & DOE Fingerprinted; DYCD Connect and I am also Microsoft Office Proficient.Over the past six years, I have been at the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center’s COMPASS p.s. 094 program and have moved up through all of the positions beginning at entry level to my current position as Assistant Program Director. During this time, I have had the opportunity to develop a maturity and understanding of the unique needs of the diverse populations served in our community. I have excelled in holding multiple positons at one time, in promoting collective success through open dialogue, providing constructive criticism, goal-setting, and displaying enthusiasm, humor and positivity to enhance work climate.I often take initiative to go beyond the parameters of my assigned duties. I have a passion for helping others and excitedly anticipate working in an environment that will allow me the opportunity to do so. I am a HRSA Grantee and through this opportunity, I created a brief curriculum for working with students that have immigrated to the United States from Spanish speaking countries. Through this project, I was able to create a bond and family setting with these students as well as explore the traumas that they have faced on their journey. I am a very committed, compassionate and reliable individual. With my will, eagerness to learn and ability to lead, I know I can become an asset to your community and organization.
