In 2012, I completed my degree in elementary education from Middle Tennessee State University. I immediately began teaching third grade in Hillsboro, Tennessee at Hillsboro Elementary School and continued teaching for five years. While teaching, I became the technology contact for faculty and staff seeking assistance implementing technology in the school environment. I participated in a number of trainings to gain knowledge in this area. In 2015, I decided to further my education by beginning graduate school. In May of 2017, I graduated from University of Arkansas with my Masters in educational technology. Immediately after graduating in June of 2017, I accepted a position with Alabama Department of Rehabilitation in Huntsville as the Assistive Technology Specialist for northern Alabama. Today, I continue with ADRS working with students and schools to recommend, provide, and train students and faculty on the best uses of assistive technology for students with disabilities.

Although my home office is in Huntsville, Alabama, I travel to work with students with disabilities in the northernmost thirteen counties in Alabama. I evaluate, demonstrate, recommend, and train individuals. Then I also work with families and teachers on the use of the technology. As needed I continue to follow up with training.
