Led a team of 11 youth as Team Youth Empower. Created the Empower Coalition, a collective of over 130 youth groups and national organizations with the goal of empowering youth to vote. Led a team of 15 youth who led the National School Walkout that demanded safety in schools and communities that saw about 1.6 million students walking out on March 14. Coordinated strategy and operations for the entire walkout, from setting up public calls and training two young leaders to lead a call with 300 people to empowering each young activist to activate their platforms via organized press and social media. Coordinated digital management of the action, facilitated email communications with hundreds of students nationally, collaborating with partners to mentor young leads to conduct outreach initiative in directly impacted communities. Worked with the Communications team and other partners to create content and strategize for fundraising. Facilitated success of sub-committees via weekly meetings to monitor progress and ensure that deliverables were in line with the Unity Principles of the Women’s March as well as the goals of the walkout. Created and developed the Women’s March on Washington Youth Ambassador Program.
