In 2010 I had the privilege of assisting in the start up of the Special Events department at the ballpark. What used to be a treasured museum soon became one of several special event locations inside the ballpark. As a special events coordinator I reached out to perspective clients about possible events and then would handle initial site visits, catering and other vendor arrangements, billing and day of event coordination. Events included weddings, corporate conferences or tradeshows, high school proms and reunions, corporate hospitality nights and holiday parties as well as game day concerts. I supported my clients from Day 1 until completion of the event. In 2012 I was promoted to Manager of Event Operations in which I handled the scheduling for all of our venues, coordinated security and parking staff as needed for each event and held bi-weekly meetings for all operations staff including our on-site catering company to keep all departments up to date on upcoming events and any last minute changes.During my time at the ballpark we hosted two rounds of World Series hospitality events as well as hospitality for multiple events at Cowboys Stadium, including the Super Bowl.

During my internship I worked with several departments. My initial start was in Seasonal Employment where we processed and trained all seasonal employees for the upcoming season. This included their hiring forms, payroll set up, uniform distribution and training workshops. Next, I was part of the Parking and Security Department handling game day and non-game day operations. At this time, we also worked with the new Cowboys Stadium assisting large tailgating for their events.
