Current-Responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing the annual and event budgets;-Strategically plan to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization; -Develop and diligently updated a cash flow tracker to enable better forecasting and budgeting; -Reconciling the bank and credit card statements, processing accounts payable and receivable, establishing a monthly check-lists to ensure financial tasks are completed in a timely manner; -Work collaboratively with the bookkeeper to ensure the books are accurate; -Present financial statements to board and staff, providing context of financial position; -Coordinate with bookkeeper and accountant to prepare for the Financial Year End; -Assist with writing grants and compiling reports, as well as identified new granting streams; -Ensure compliance with grant funding terms and conditions; -Expanded the sponsorship package and nurtured relationships with sponsors, developing new connections with two BIA’s, ensuring that sponsorship deliverables are met; -Authorize payroll/CRA/WorkSafe and managed the timesheet system; -Overseeing HR: negotiating contracts, maintaining HR Files, hiring, and training staff; -Benefits administrator: arranging training sessions and ensuring accurate records; -Organizing training for staff and volunteers: anti-oppression training, decolonizing the arts, naloxone, first aid; -Updated policies and procedures; -Assist with the development of printed materials including posters and program guides; -Schedule staff and volunteers, assisted with event set up and tear down; -Responsible for securing liquor and event licenses, purchasing alcohol for events and overseeing event bars, and cash handling on event sites for sales and donations; -Working knowledge of Google Drive, Google Meet, and Zoom.
