My professional work life began when I was 12. My father Scott, who at the time owned a construction company doing heavy dirt work and underground cable, came up with the idea of flipping repo homes (this was way before it was the “thing” to do). Being homeschooled, me and my two older brothers were able to do school, and work along side the family flipping homes. Side by side we built two successful companies. Since I got to spend my early life learning about work ethic, the joys and rewards of capitalism. Working in both companies, I obtained the status of lead finisher for all our government projects. At 16 I started a side business with my best friend doing lawn care and maintenance. At 18 I dissolved my part of the company and left for college. There, at the international ALERT academy, I dedicated myself to my studies of aviation, emergency medicine, search & rescue, physical education and personal management. With hard work and dedication, I obtained more than 150 college credits worth of certificates and skilled training in under 2 years. After graduating, I attended two more college and began my pursuit of becoming a doctor. I worked many years in the medical field, eventually becoming a researcher for the company I worked at. Working closely with the FDA and EMA doing research on a vaccine, I learned a many great skills including physical exams, medical documentation, consoling and all the needed skills required to be a successful substitute physician at this particular center. After many years of a rewarding career, I decided I wanted to go a different direction with my life and have more freedom to explore and build a business. I entered into a partnership business with my brother and father to form a building firm. Because of my technical skills and passions, I perused knowledge in drafting & design, finances and management. I have designed a lot of our systems that we currently use in our company, along with designing and drafting 1/2 of the homes we’ve built in Texas. Currently my primary role is customer relations, project estimating, and CFO.
