Prior to founding Tacit, Todd was previously Head of Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships at RealWear where he wore many hats from its early days through launch, reaching production on the HMT-1 and initially securing their $17 million Series A funding. RealWear is a leading AR hardware technology company that manufactures hands-free ruggedized head-mounted wearable devices for Connected Worker programs. Todd played a significant role in building RealWear's more than 350 customers and responsible for establishing key partnerships.

The firm has experience periodically advising buyers and sellers in Secondary Direct transactions typically in large, private technology companies with shareholders seeking partial liquidity. LifeStorage is a real estate investment partnership formed for the purpose of consolidating the large, but highly fragmented self-storage industry in select geographic markets. I advised the company intermittently between three rounds of equity funding since inception to identify capital partners, develop and finalize the business plan, investor presentations and all other collateral due-diligence materials as needed. Assisted in raising $155MM of equity capital over three rounds of funding. Acquired by Sovran (SSS) in 2015 for $1.4 billion.

Advisor and shareholder in a start-up, next generation augmented reality (AR) technology company with a SaaS platform model. Responsibility for overall business strategy, identifying equity partners, develop and finalize the business plan, investor presentations, business development presentations and all other collateral due-diligence materials. Secured primary investor, Tarsadia, with initial $15MM Series A round and $275MM funded to date.

Microvast is a completely vertically integrated advanced power and technology company. Microvast Power Systems manufacturers NCM, LiFePO4 and Rapid Charge Technologies battery technologies using only top quality materials and holding many patents on new materials for battery manufacturing and performance. My role was advising the company to identify capital partners, develop and finalize the business plan, investor presentations and all other collateral due-diligence materials needed. Successfully closed $50 million in equity funding from World Bank and Ashmore.

Responsible for leading the institutional marketing activities for SunTx Capital Partners, a $600 million middle market buyout firm based in Dallas Texas. At SunTx, Todd managed the fundraising process and successfully getting the firm to its’ final closing of SunTx Fulcrum Fund LP, their inaugural institutional fund in February 2003.

As Executive Director - Alternative Investments at CIBC World Markets, Todd marketed alternative investment products (private equity funds, venture capital funds, buyout funds and private equity transactions) to institutional investors including; pension funds, insurance companies, private banks, sovereign wealth funds and family offices globally.

Hired out of college Todd initially became a Vice President and then Managing Director as one of five professionals at the firm globally focused on alternative investments (hedge funds, private equity funds, mezzanine funds and venture capital funds). At Bear Stearns, he marketed alternative investments and private placements (Reg D and Reg S) to institutional investors globally.
