My role as the Austin Operations Supervisor was equivalent to being a jack of all trades. Responsible for five different Record Centers, operations staff, transportation team and fleet, key contact for most facilities issues, on call 24/7 for security issues, and primary contact for customer support.Our team was very lean which required excellent cross training and constant juggling of resources. Prioritizing and decisive decision making was critical.Supervised the security, accountability, inventory, and service of more than one million boxes / items containing sensitive personal information. Maintained a very secure chain of custody with many moving parts.

As the Security Processing / Warehouse Manager, I coordinated staffing and resources for fast-paced production and warehouse environment.We on boarded 30 – 60 temporary associates each season, receiving and processing more than 200K boxes and 15M secure documents for multiple state assessment projects. Here are just some of the accomplishments that I am proud of: · Solved customer challenges through strong communication and problem-solving skills. Addressed processing issues in project specifications proactively in kick-off meetings, during processing, and post processing (lessons learned). · Enabled accurate and competitive costing for new projects by working with Bid and Proposal team, estimating all production and warehousing costs for numerous state assessment contracts, including Texas, Florida, and California. · Achieved 44% reduction in cost per unit and 40% in DPM over past 10-years by engaging 10-person full-time staff in establishing goals and performing personnel reviews and department / individual development and improvement plans. · Promoted environment of continuous improvement focused on quality and throughput by displaying initiatives and status on department Metrics Board. · Attained zero injuries related to forklift operation in fast-paced warehouse environment by emphasizing safety through detailed training presentation as well as weekly focus talks.

Security Processing / Data Preparation

We on boarded up to 100 temps in a fast paced, seasonal production environment. I managed all resource planning and budgeting and also acted as a communication point for customers regarding all aspects of program management.

Warehouse

As the Senior Material Handler, I received, sorted, and scanned more than 300K boxes in one season. I managed multiple high profile state assessment projects simultaneously. I also supported a major high grade paper base recycle effort that resulted in $400K in revenue.

I am proud of this accomplishment: Reduced check-out times 35% while enhancing customer experience and itemized billing through implementation of the Aloha point-of-sales system (only second install in Montana at the time).
