    GreenSky is a leading company in the consumer finance marketplace specializing in Home Improvement and Retail Credit. GreenSky was able to complete their IPO in 2018. Sold to Goldman Sachs in 2022.Responsible for Network, Systems Administration, Helpdesk, Ops DBA, DevOps, and Command Center. Tom was brought in to grow the infrastructure teams and manage large footprint growth. IT had 30 people when Tom joined. It had over 200 at the IPO. The portfolio consisted of 4 servers in a single colo and 300 workstations with some storage and local systems running in a data closet in the call center. At the IPO, GreenSky ran across 400 servers in two AWS regions. Initially, GreenSky had two locations in two states with no remote workers. At the IPO, GreenSky has 6 locations over 4 states with many remote workers. HelpDesk managed over 1500 workstations. The capital expenses started at 5 million dollars per year. Even with large growth, expenses were kept under 10 million dollars. The total IT budget has grown to 42 million while the money under management went from under 2 Billion to 12 Billion.
