- Developing of the Airport Management System, providing around the clock, 3rd level support for 6 airports across the UK (Heathrow, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Southampton), Ireland (Dublin Airport) and Norway - Oslo- Working on the application running on a range of platforms including AIX, UNIX and Windows. Full suite of technology used covers Oracle database, pl/sql, java, c#, c++, delphi, Websphere message broker and WebSphere MQ- As an integrated package, the system provides the functionality for Stand Planning, Gate Management, Check-In Desk and Baggage Belt allocation, financial reporting, aircraft and airline data management, FIDS (Flight Information Display), SIS (Staff Information System), AOMIS (Airport Operations Management Information System) and baggage tracking both at the local airport (Bagflo) and worldwide (Journey Baggage System). - Contributing to specifications and development and good practice, contributing to design decisions and producing unit test specifications for new system functionality, as directed- Developing all code and performing unit testing to the coding standards and guidelines used on the project, carrying out code and document reviews- Supporting applications through various test environments thought production environment mainly on problem analysis and error correction, raising any identified issues in the appropriate log- Assisting other developers and the test team on the project or client- Working as an active member of the Support Team, investigating support calls, pro-actively communicating progress status and problem resolving, meeting the service level targets set in the contracts for response, recovery and resolution- Involved in design, development and test phases throughout the project, rolling out a successful airport management system to production in Oslo airport, along with supporting existing system running on 6 major UK airports
