Pulse and oilseeds value chain expert; providing agronomic skill in the process of diagnosis of sesame and chickpea value chains in Ethiopia where critical production, processing, marketing, trade and value addition bottlenecks and intervention options were identified and implemented.

-Dealt with breeding improved varieties of major lowland oilseeds (sesame, peanut, safflower) where 10 improved peanut and sesame varieties were developed along with optimum agronomic techniques.- Coordinated sesame and peanut research project at national level.-Played two and half year leadership role by directing activities of Werer Agricultural research Center that encompasses crop, livestock, natural resources and socio-economic research disciplines.
