About Tadhg Young

Started working in a botany research laboratory my sophomore year of undergraduate, and have loved lab life since! I have worked in both research (Oberlin College, UW-Madison) and industry (Institute for Environmental Health) settings and have enjoyed accumulating a wide toolset of laboratory methods ranging from DNA isolation and PCR, RNA isolation and qPCR, and protein isolation for SDS-PAGE and western blotting using a variety of antibodies. I am currently a graduate student in the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Botany department where I am studying plant biochemistry and am working to finish my Master's. My PI and mentor is Professor Hiroshi Maeda.
