Developed a marketing strategy to engage students and grow awareness of TikTok with Fuse. Worked with university officials and local merchants to coordinate events on and off campus. Gathered data about student interaction with the app via surveys to plan strategy. Created promotional content leveraging design tools like Canva. Generated engagement on social media by sharing original content on Instagram and TikTok.

Responsible for planning and executing a strategic B2B advertising campaign for Adobe's new adtech software, called the Adobe Experience Cloud for Advertising, with a class of 30+ students through the University of Virginia chapter. This national competition is intended for students to develop their portfolio, enhance their creative & strategic thinking skills, and create meaningful work in the marketing industry.

Helped start-up execute brand-focusing Instagram story & Instagram grid content creation. Helped ideate & broker social media partnerships, and liaised with Bulletin brands to curate product and editorial images. Facilitated community management through engaging with an Instagram follower base of over 71.6K followers, and helped to establish, grow, and cultivate the brand’s Twitter audience. Tracked weekly Instagram statistics through Instagram analytics & other platforms. Additionally, helped to veer the Instagram in a more B2B/RN-focused direction from a previously strictly B2C model.

In this role, I supported various teammates on internal and external projects ranging from public relations issues, customer/media-facing complaint issues, and project communications planning. I came up with creative ideas for promoting positive company news and kept up-to-date with news coverage related to Dominion Energy. I pitched community-related news stories, wrote articles for publication in internal/external news channels, and created content/video for multi-media platforms such as our news releases, our social media accounts, and for our company website. I collaborated with Media Relations reps when assisting with individual projects, drafted communications plans as requested, and did research work when needed.

I grew and maintained a strong, local student following of my campus account by creating and scheduling daily original content and interacting with readers through regular online interaction. Additionally, I retained a firm grasp on the latest internet trends and current events on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

As a research assistant in the Early Development Lab, I recruited and tested children ages 1-10 in the laboratory to observe how their interactions with multiple forms of media influenced their cognitive and social development. Additionally, I coded and analyzed data in SPSS & Excel.Additionally, as a research assistant in the Social Cognition & Behavior Lab, I researched phenomena related to diversity. We were especially interested in how individuals develop competencies for life in diverse spaces. The goal of our research was to find ways to improve intergroup contact and intergroup relations so that all members of society may attain positive life outcomes. I coded & analyzed the data in SPSS & Excel.
