I am the Vice President and Chief Diversity & Health Equity Officer of Legacy Health, a locally owned, nonprofit, eight-hospital health system that also includes more than 85 clinics, with 14,000 employees and nearly 3,000 health care providers. In this role I: Lead the critical work of embedding diversity, equity and inclusion goals into systems, process standard work and community investments;Oversea the organizational strategy to attract, retain, develop and promote diverse talent across all areas of Legacy Health; Modernize policies, promote relevant DEI educational opportunities, and scale practices that produce health equity between diverse patient populations and create workplaces free of discrimination and harassment;Support our teams’ efforts to remove structural and social barriers to accessing our services and work towards ensuring all patient populations receive quality, culturally responsive care.
