I strive to build genuine relationship with every people I meet. Whether that person be my colleague, client, friend, family, I listen fully to their concerns and try my best to help solve their concerns. Also, it is very important for me to hold up to what I said I would do, ranging from promises made on a personal level to work related responsibilities. Such sincere personality in addition to my passion for learning has built a foundation for taking my development and career seriously. Throughout university, I have worked hard to thoroughly understand the materials that I was learning. From completing all the courses with an outstanding grade, I was able to gain deep understanding of financial reporting, audit, and tax knowledge and analytical skills. In pursuit of further developing my analytical and data management skills, I am currently in process of taking Data Analytics online courses at my own time. In addition to academics, I was involved in different roles to further develop my professional skill sets. Firstly, in the hope of helping other people with what I know, I have joined University of Toronto Korean Student Association to help first year students succeed in school. At the same time I was advising students with their struggles, I gained valuable skill sets essential in workplace such as teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills. Secondly, I worked as a financial analyst intern where I was able to develop my Excel utilization, market research, and financial analysis skills. Lastly, I took an opportunity in food service industry as a waitress to gain experience of face to face customer interaction. In this job, I learned to manage client relationship and developed effective communication skills to effectively manage client complaints. With knowledge and skills I developed so far, I look forward to working with my future teammates to build genuine relationship and solve clients’ problems with all our effort.
