Providing Desktop support for Gp's and their practices in Liverpool and Liverpool community heath services.

In my current role as an Installation Engineer, I am responsible for migrating Manchester University hospital computer systems from Microsoft Windows XP to Microsoft Windows 7. I work as part of a team of Installation Engineers, all of whom report to the Project Manager. This role also entails upgrading all PCs utilising SCCM & AD to deploy software to the end users desktop. This contract has been extended to September, 2015.

In my role as an Installation Engineer, I am responsible for migrating Cheshire East, Cheshire West, and Chester County Council computer systems from Microsoft Windows XP to Microsoft Windows 7. I work as part of a team of Installation Engineers, all of whom report to the Project Manager. This role also entails auditing and upgrading all PCs throughout these counties as well as training end-users on the use of their successfully upgraded Windows 7 systems. • Software and hardware installation and upgrades• Training end-users in the use of the newly upgraded Windows 7 machines• Train end-uses in the use of the new Citrix Desktop application within their newly upgraded Windows 7 machines• Performing Quality Assurance testing on newly build PCs and laptops

As IT Manager, I was responsible for managing the organisations IT infrastructure across the UK, USA, and China. Whilst working in this capacity, I reported directly to the Finance Director with whom I worked closely to execute the following responsibilities. In the IT Manager role, I was personally responsible for the management of IT services as well as a small team of administrators for SOG LTD and its customers. This team and I managed IT services across the North West, including Liverpool, Manchester, Mid-Cheshire, and Runcorn. Responsibilities:• Implemented and reviewed servers, desktop systems, and bespoke software packages, providing SOG LTD appropriate solutions to enable smooth day-to-day business functions • Reviewed newly available IT options to provide solutions to provide the company with the maximum benefit for their IT budget • Provided in-house training to employees at the on-set of implementing new software, providing one-to-one and group training

As System Administrator, I provided first line support for ICI’s C & P site operations group in the North West to 100 employees over 500 work sites across Merseyside and the Cheshire area. Responsibilities:• Provide trouble-shooting and support to resolve issues or escalate unsolved tickets to outsourced IT services company• Educate staff on Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus products
