Tahanee was born in Queens, New York. In the summer of 1996, she dealt with the sudden loss of her Older Cousin, whom was also her best friend. As an outlet to release her pain and frustration, Tahanee began writing poetry. Her first poem was a poem dedicated to her late cousin. After reading the heartfelt dedication to family members and obtaining not only positive feedback but also a publishing deal with the National Poetry Foundation, Tahanee believed she had discovered her life's purpose; writing. She continued to work on her craft and eventually began writing short stories. Her first novel, Lust Now, Cry Later was released in the summer of 2008 under Author House Publishing. The positive feedback she received from book clubs, fans, friends, and family members was astounding. Within the first month of releasing her novel, she was featured on the top ten, Best Sellers List with her publishing company. A few months after her novel was released, Ms. Roberts decided to end her contract with Author House. Since then, she has re-written her novel and plans on re-releasing it under her publishing company, Escape Books LLC in 2015. Tahanee's passion for writing has landed her several speaking engagements and public appearances at Aids Awareness Events, colleges, churches and fundraisers. In addition, to being an author Ms. Roberts is also the Creator and Host of Pillow Talk Radio and weekly Relationship Columnists for Yandy Smith of VH1's Love & Hip Hop New York EGL (Everything Girls Love) magazine. Although, Ms. Roberts passion for writing came into motion after an unfortunate life changing circumstance, she has taken that experience and turned it into something positive by reaching out to others across the world and whether it's through her books, radio show, articles or motivational speeches, the importance of, "Self love and Respect," is always the message behind this talented woman's work!
