Airport Operations Shift Manager
CurrentMaintains all aspects of airport safety, security and customer service.Ensures the proper operating conditions of the airport are maintained, by taking any immediate corrective action when deficiencies are found. Conducts daily inspections of all aeronautical areas to assure compliance with the Airport Certification Manual and FAA Part-139 standards. Plans and controls the closing and reopening of aircraft operating areas for maintenance repair or construction by issuing appropriate Notice To Airmen (NOTAMs).Responds to, investigate, and resolves security related incidents.Assumes the role of Incident Operations Manager during emergency situations.Manages and directs Massport units during incidents and airport emergencies. Responsible for coordinating emergency responses with local, state, and federal agencies. Manages and directs snow removal crews airside by prioritizing snow removal efforts. Evaluates airfield surface conditions before returning runways and taxiways to active use. Manages and supervises activities of personnel on shift to ensure departmental objectives are carried out.
