HCV CAD Design EngineerHCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicle/ Ford Trucks) CAD Design Engineer /Engine DepartmentI used the Catia V5 program and the implementing design rules according to FORD GPDS (Global Product Development System). First thing that I modelled was a lubrication pipe of a turbocharger from scratch based on a sample model. I was a part of the Engine department and working on a Gen.2.0 Engine development program that works with the Scrum method. Basically, we were developing the 2nd generation of the engine according to EU standards to decrease the CO2 emissions at the same time increasing the Engine performance. I decided to take a big challenge and move onto the MCV IP&Cockpit Design Release Engineer role in June 1st, 2022

I worked as a Project &Interior design approval engineer at the headquarters of the company located in Istanbul. The company has 12 regions and is responsible for the distribution of Natural gas around Turkey. I approve or reject the projects based on the TS 7363 standards and natural gas laws. It requires interpretation of the technical drawing of the buildings, their security measurements, and design

I worked as a sales engineer in the special steel industry. I did marketing research, found possible customers, and contacted them via phone and e-mail to give them an introduction about the company as well as the description and specifications of all the products manufactured. The customer orders are received, and entered into the ERP system. Then I arranged and coordinated the transportation of the goods to be sent to the buyer's location. There are several international shipment methods such as CIF, FOB, CFR, FCA, DAP, EXW, etc. I was also responsible for filling and making corrections according to customer preference. Basically, after mutually signing the contract, I checked and followed the process of upcoming steps to complete the operation while informing the customer at each step to provide higher customer satisfaction. I just worked here due to Covid-19 and it was temporary.

Performed my summer internship at HVAC department in a thermal power plant that is located in Esenyurt/ Istanbul. I observed and made a detailed research for the components of the thermal power plant such as a cooler, condenser, turbine, etc. Additionally, I provided their working principles along with their cost analysis for the whole plant. I drew the layout of the thermal plant. Lastly, I suggested ideas, theories for the security precautions for the working areas of the plant.

I have been part of a 3&4 cylinder crankshaft and engine block unit. To fulfill the requirements of the internship, its asked to explain the manufacturing processes of the 2 selected parts in detail. I selected 3 cylinder crankshaft that is used in heavy industry trucks and steering racks manufactured for well-known automotive companies around the World. I modeled them in Autodesk Inventor Professional and obtained their technical drawings. Additionally, I made a cost analysis for the selected parts and made suggestions for their technical improvements. Also, I had a chance to observe the gear- pump- tractor- brake- hydraulic steering system- steering rack -balancer factories, and foundry.
