Working as DCS/SIS start-up and commissioning engineer with National Methanol Company (IBNSINA), a manufacturing affiliate of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation on a green field project POM. The project is to commission a PolyOxyMethylene plant with annual production capacity of 50000 tons.Responsibilities-Ensure and demonstrate that required control strategies and DCS graphics are implemented as per the design documents effectively.-Modify, develop and improve the basic process control and safety instrumented system to enhance the operational efficiency for plant operations.-Support plant operations and other vendors for performing function tests and equipment solo run tests for all process units. -Provide technical support and knowledge to instrumentation group for troubleshooting of Fieldbus and HART devices using AMS. -Provide the DeltaV DCS level support assistance to other Projects and Control System group personnel assigned on project.

-Provide technical guidance to sales during preparation of project proposals.-Conduct DCS modifications required by plant operations in due course of time.-Conduct Pre-FAT and FAT with client.-Perform operational on site tests and commissioning of the system. -Perform DCS software configuration and complex logic implementation.-Build operator interfaces (HMIs) based on P&IDs and instrument database.-Supervise technicians during hardware installations at factory and site.-Check panel design of DCS against the internal and client standards.-Prepare technical queries related to operator graphics and project documents.-Support for project management activities.-Cost control of all the operational and process technical requirements of project, coordinate with other divisions/departments.

• Improve, develop, and implement process control strategies that improve plant safety, profitability and efficiency. • Responsible for the day-to-day development, support, maintenance and implementation of advanced process control applications, process optimization, process information management systems and alarm databases. • Responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of process control hardware such as workstations and servers.• Responsible for implementation and maintenance support for safety instrumentation system (SIS).• Support process units by trouble shooting control related issues that impact operations. • Support site in process control and process information off-hour call out duties as needed. • Create and provide instruction for training of Operations, I&E Maintenance and Technical personnel on control subjects as needed. • Review and manage the documentation of system standards, control procedures, DCS/SIS architecture and control schemes. • Provide work direction for contract control personnel as required and work closely with DCS technicians. • Participate in plant improvement teams as needed. • Support the MOC process. • Support Alarm Documentation and Rationalization (AOA) activities. • Participate as needed in plant Process Safety Management, by being involved in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOPS (Hazards and Operability Study) and LOPA (Layers of Protection Analysis) studies, action item follow-up and PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Reviews).
