Dr. Awan is a highly motivated individual, a PhD in Marketing from Sun Yat-sen Business School, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China. Dr. Awan also holds Masters in Technology Management, Masters of Mass Communication, MBA (Marketing) and BS (Hons.) degree in Computer Sciences. He currently holds position of Assistant Professor of Marketing at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Pakistan. He is affiliated with CUI since 2007. He also runs a consultancy firm “HATF Consultants & Advisors” where he provides facilitation to foreign investors for incubation of their new setups in Pakistan. He is also providing consultancy services to various Pakistani and Chinese firms through this firm. He also served as visiting faculty with three top universities of South China (South China University of Technology, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University and Nanfang College of Sun Yat-sen University) for a period of about 4 years. He was also invited at various national and international conferences and workshops as trainer and invited speaker. Based on his research profile, he was awarded “Graduate Scholar Award” by Common Ground Publishing at 16th International Conference on Knowledge, Culture, and Change in Organizations, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii USA in 2016. He is author of various research papers and book chapters focusing on Marketing, Belt and Road Initiative, and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
