Tahir is the Founder of wizdom.ai, an AI-powered startup incubated at the University of Oxford Software Incubator and later acquired by the London listed FTSE 50, Informa PLC. Tahir founded wizdom.ai from his dorm room while doing a PhD in Computational Biology at the University of Oxford, led product development and subsequently raised investment from prominent US and UK based investors to establish a global footprint across UK, USA, Ireland and Pakistan, leading to the successful exit of his startup. Tahir has advised several startups in the field of drone & space technology, supply chain & retail, mobility, real estate and hospitality sector and is a mentor at multiple incubators including at the Oxford University Software Incubator where his own startup was incubated. He is an expert on leveraging big data and artificial intelligence to tackle world-scale challenges and has spoken at numerous international conferences across USA, UK, Finland, Germany, Italy, Russia, Pakistan and China. Tahir was a Microsoft Scholar at the University of Oxford and has published several highly cited research papers in top international journals on building anatomically accurate cardiac models with computer vision and image processing methods using multi terabyte cardiac imaging datasets. His research interests include AI powered decision making, algorithmic management, and ethical AI.
