Recycling program received capital investment which caused it to be the most effective in the Marine Corps by bringing in $2.1M for the installation annually. * Managed and directed priorities in a fiscal constrained environment; balanced a backlog of more than $90M in sustainment and restoration to address aging critical infrastructure and more than 2,600 buildings and structures. * Managed, designed and coordinated local maintenance budget of approximately $45M while balancing competing requirements associated with emergency responses and natural disasters.* Anticipated requirements to mitigate catastrophic events. Ability to make time sensitive decisions during one such event saved the base millions of dollars in road repairs and minimized significant disruption of services. Coordinated with local electric and gas supply company, Area Commands and Public Works to bring additional capability to the installation.* Provided renewed emphasis to organic training programs and re-organized quarterly effort to address lack of knowledge within middle management.
