Taido Lantz is a Japanese-American entrepreneur, inventor, engineer, designer, and investor. They have held leadership roles at prominent technology companies, such as Apple, Evernote, and Airbnb Inc. At Apple, Taido Lantz led many initiatives and teams. These included the iPod, Watch, Health+Fitness, and more. They helped invent the original iPhone fingerprint sensor (Touch ID), biometric security, and other technologies, with over 50 patents issued to them and their team. Next, Taido Lantz led the design initiative at Evernote, focused on Augmented Intelligence - at the time a unique approach taken by the company with how to leverage and partner with artificial intelligence to elevate customer's day-to-day productivity.At Airbnb, Taido Lantz held a leadership role in launching new business initiatives such as Airbnb Experiences, Restaurants, Marketing and others that contributed to the successful IPO of the company in 2020.Taido Lantz is originally from Seattle and lived across Hawaii, New York, and California before settling in Tokyo in 2021. In 2022, they're splitting time between Tokyo and Honolulu. They also enjoy appreciating and collecting contemporary art, shopping, traveling, cooking, and exercising in their free time. Most importantly, Taido Lantz enjoys spending time with their eleven-year-old daughter.
