My background of working as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years has helped me realize and appreciate the importance and the grace of having a healthy body, mind, and spirit in order to enjoy a long, vibrant and active life. Now, as a health consultant and brand partner, I aim to help people reverse the damage done to their bodies/health and extend their health span through biohacking.As biohacking has gained traction over the recent years, many are curious as to how this emerging field can help them optimize their well-being and start living more balanced, thriving lives. Many may have the impression that biohacking is a costly hobby; comprising fancy gadgets and expensive tools; it can be, but it is also furthest from the truth. At its core, biohacking encompasses all the activities that can help us take control of our biology, and improve our energy, clarity, longevity, and performance. Biohacking takes a proactive approach to adopt health-promoting behaviors. Contrary to a disease-centered approach, biohacking is a wellness-centered approach that emphasizes growth and is striving for optimal well-being. In its essence, it is a returning back to the foundations of what makes us, of what makes us thriving humans. Biohacking is paying attention to how we fuel ourselves with food and supplements, it is how frequently we move, how intentionally we breathe, how much exposure to nature and sunlight we get, etc. Before getting into the fancy tools, tactics, and strategies, we must ensure that we have the foundational pillars covered. It’s a practice that is accessible to all of us, as long as we choose to do so. And it is at that level that I help people take back control of their health.We CAN take back control of our health. We can age young. We can bio-hacking our way to healthy longevity, by becoming well-informed, and by taking intentional action that will improve our current health behaviors.
