In August of 2016, I began my professional journey with Waffle House. Starting as a hostess, I progressed through every position until becoming a training manager. I managed to earn my degree in Psychology and Criminology with a minor in Forensic science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, while working full-time during most of that period. I also participated in various volunteer work and internships. Through my internship with the Brunswick County District Attorney's Office I was able to secure a full time job as a legal assistant. While in that position I used my work experience, skills, and education to excel. After three years as a legal assistant, it was finally my time to pursue my dream of becoming an attorney. I am now in my third year at North Carolina Central University School of Law!
