I am a penultimate-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Auckland, majoring in Finance and International Business. I am passionate about pursuing a career in the financial world, leveraging off my strong foundation in financial analysis, investment strategies and eagerness for continues development.My dedication to finance is evident through my participation in various competitions at the University of Auckland. Winning the BlackBull Trading Competition, being a finalist in the UBS Investment Banking Competitions and participating in numerous other competitions have exposed me to a wide range of financial disciplines. This exposure has developed my abilities in FOREX trading, global market research, financial modelling ,and valuations.Outside of academics, I am passionate about trail running, as it has taught me many life lessons. A notable achievement of mine is my recent completion of the Tarawera 104.6km Ultramarathon. In this race I pushed myself mentally and physically, accomplishing a goal that I once thought was impossible. This experience proved to me that I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to. The race and training leading up to it are a testament to my strong mindset, consistency and drive, as well as my ability to perform and persevere under pressure.My commitment to sustainability stems through my appreciation for the natural world developed through trail running. I carry this commitment into my professional life, as demonstrated by my position at Icebreaker, where merino wool is ethically and naturally sourced. At Icebreaker, I have developed my customer service and bilingual skills while gaining experience in end of day reconciliation and banking.My long term goal is to build a career within the financial industry and being part of a company with values that I am proud to represent. To achieve this, I am committed to my studies and extra-curricular activities while continuously developing relevant skills.
