In 2020, I had a computer science degree, 3 years of professional experience and I was looking for a job. A job that could somehow give me a taste of the joy and content that I felt from the challenge of running a travel startup. Even though that startup turned out to be a short stint that ended with a painful failure, every bit of that journey was worth it and I wanted to continue it with a job at a startup that I believed in.I had just come back from a conference at Harvard and was applying to jobs when COVID became the monster that we all remember. With the impending lockdowns no one was willing to hire. That's when I started exploring ecommerce. I had some experience with digital marketing during my startup days but it was this time that I really began to learn the strategies and tactics needed to stand out as an ecommerce brand even in some of the most saturated marketplaces. I knew building and scaling direct-to-consumer brands is that challenge I had been looking for.
