The thrill of creativity can be summoned in all sorts of industries and all walks of life. Working with materials and digital objects, presenting artistic and designer visions, goals and experience, I hope to increase sustainability and balance in my work, and relevant connections between future/tradition and free expression/marketability. As an experienced maker, entrepreneur and teacher in several design universities, I've gained insight on design and visual arts & craft as a profession, business and methodology. I've got a solid foundation in both material knowledge and critical theory-based research on contemporary craft, and a passion for advanced technologies. Fellowship for the Museum at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York enriched my expertise in communication, technologies and museology.I've branched out on content creation, community management and creative international productions. In the Pirkanmaa Arts Council and the Craft Association Modus, I've served as a President of the Board and in the Finnish Designers Association Ornamo, as a Member of the Board. Creative economy is nurtured by sharing expert knowledge. Suomeksi: Olen pitkän linjan ammattilainen muotoilun alati muuttuvalla kentällä. Iso osa kokemustiedostani on kertynyt kehitysprojektien myötä; suunnittelijana, tuottajana, opettajana, yrittäjänä ja muotoilujohtajana. Olen toiminut kansainvälisissä tehtävissä Euroopassa ja USA:ssa. Luottamustoimet Ornamon hallituksessa sekä Modus ry:n ja Pirkanmaan taidetoimikunnan puheenjohtajana olivat hyviä näköalapaikkoja taiteen eri alojen ammattilaisten arkeen.
