Among my responsibilities were conducting the expert team workflow, preparing the methodology for the technical analysis, conducting meetings, elaborating reports, and providing guidance regarding the project design.

Among my responsibilities were negotiating with other programs to identify gaps and correlated responsibilities between programs, collaborate with the engineering team to establish the maintenance procedures and processes, unify knowledge and information generated through the diverse programs and organization departments related to the Civil Program.
Project Manager Consultant
Responding directly to the PMO, during this period I worked supporting other engineering teams and local Project Leaders from five international airports, and five domestic airports, on the correct application of the project management methodology. The most recurrent subjects were planning schedule, scope, and cost. Also responsible for strategic decision-making guidance to the airport authorities about engineering contracts, working under the governance of the upper management and the Board of Directors. My routine included to conduct meetings with stakeholders and to work with local teams on specific tasks; analyze execution reports; elaborate and present monthly reports. One of my accomplishments from this period was delivering the rescheduling of the passenger terminal renovation project for the International Airport of Salvador, intermediating the negotiation with the airport authority and stakeholders, as the external partners to amend their contract according to its financial restrictions and the aviation regulation. Another interesting task was the development of the risk management methodology concerning the interventions on the airport infrastructure. Collaborating with the engineering department responsible for the design, the renovation of a runway at Congonhas International Airport was chosen as a pilot. Before I resign my position, this pilot was running during the design phase successfully.
Planning Team Leader
Acting as a team leader, I was responsible for controlling the application of project management methodology and the contract execution for the expansion and modernization projects at Salgado Filho International Airport, Porto Alegre/BR. The portfolio was composed of $130 mi CAD contracted and $230 mi CAD in projects waiting for documentation and approval to bid. Reporting to the local Engineering Contract Manager and to the PMO, my responsibilities included analyze contract execution reports, approve bid documentation, elaborate monthly reports to the upper management about the financial execution, and elaborate monthly reports to the PMO about the project execution.
Project Manager
While working as coordinator (design and planning teams), I was also responsible for the design and construction of the passenger terminal enlargement project. The project scope was composed by 35,000 m² of renovation and 85,000 m² of enlargement for the terminal area, an aircraft parking enlargement of 53,000 m², new urban access to the terminal, new electrical substation, and negotiation of environmental issues along with the authorities. The design phase counted with three major contracts and more than a hundred professionals. Despite this was a long term project, during the period where I was responsible for this project, we are able to deliver the bidding documents for the Construction - Phase 1, counting with 30% of the whole project including terminal area and aircraft parking, which was contracted by approximately $85 mi CAD.

Design Team Leader
Responding to the local Engineering Contract Manager, acting as the lead of a team of 10 direct collaborators and 30 indirect contracted professionals, I was responsible for the airport modernization design projects for the Salgado Filho International Airport, Porto Alegre/BR. This portfolio was composed of $35 mi CAD and included design contracts for passengers and cargo terminals, runways, aircraft parking, public parking, urban access. I was involved in this project since the gathering requirements phase, having the opportunity to work with the airport authorities and airport stakeholders on their requirements, conducting negotiation meetings between them and the design team. During the design phase, my responsibilities were to ensure that the design team was attending the aviation regulation from ICAO correctly. I was also responsible for negotiating with local authorities on the project approval, especially on the subjects involving the city, as providing energy, environmental issues, and urban mobility. One of my achievement form this period was delivering the conceptual study for the Passenger Terminal 1 and Aircraft Parking Enlargement project for bidding. The study for the 120,000 m² renovations and enlargement was delivered on five months with all documents needed for design biding. This design was contracted by approximately $2.5 mi CAD.
