Category Management Advisor
Current•Oversees the entire collaboration process for complex high-value/high-risk services assigned. •Integrates client requirements into the contracting and sourcing processes. Coordinates and facilitates proposal evaluations for complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and leads analysis required to determine most advantageous supplier choice to the company (considering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), supplier relationship, , value, client preference, quality of materials/services, safety record, etc.). •Leads negotiations and the development of contract award recommendations. •Evaluates supplier qualifications. •Works closely with internal support organizations including the Law Department, Accounts Payable, and Risk Management. Develops and manages supplier alliance opportunities. •Resolves conflict between suppliers and company.•Provides research and analysis that directs the development and implementation of purchasing strategies for high-value/high-risk materials and/or services assigned that meet company requirements. •Analyzes internal spend data and market intelligence to strategically source needed services and materials. •Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with teams and suppliers to reduce overall costs. •Identifies opportunities for greater use of industry specifications. Identifies alternate service applications. •Secures reliable and cost effective sources for high-value/high-risk materials and/or services.•Leads high-value/high-impact special projects as directed by the Portfolio Manager to identify and implement cost savings programs.•Leads and participates in cross-functional teams to develop strategies to add value through Supply Management lead projects.•Participates on category management cross-functional teams, bringing knowledge of customer needs, supplier capabilities or performance, and performance improvement ideas.•Trains internal/external clients on proper contract management, administration policies, procedures.
