Career Beginnings:I started my career in 1989 at Kaisei Tekko Corporation as a bridge construction design engineer but quickly transitioned to software engineering at Jce Inc. due to my passion for technology. Here, I worked on the TRON project at Hitachi Communication Systems, Inc., gaining valuable experience in operating systems development.Transition to Freelancing:After a sudden bankruptcy in 1993, I shifted to freelancing, focusing on software development for Hitachi Communication Systems' NTT switch project. This period deepened my expertise in communication protocols and software engineering challenges.Shift to Process Improvement:The late '90s brought about significant changes, both personally and professionally. After a period of employment at Maytec Corporation from 1995 to 1996, I returned to Hitachi Communication Systems, Inc., dedicating nearly six years to the development of switches and IP routers. Subsequently, in 2002, I transitioned to Sony Digital Network Applications, Inc., where I engaged in consumer camera development projects until 2013. This tenure was marked by numerous challenges, including project failures and quality issues, which underscored the critical importance of project management and process improvement in the tech industry.Recent Career Developments:In the recent phase of my career, I held multiple roles at WingArc 1st, Inc., focusing on quality control, product quality management, and OSS management. My tenure here was defined by a commitment to leveraging my vast experience for the betterment of quality control and process improvements. In 2021, I joined Bizreach Inc., taking on roles as a process improvement coach and agile coach. My work has been characterized by the implementation of DevOps practices and the utilization of the Four Keys metrics to enhance development transparency and productivity. Additionally, I have spearheaded the Software Outcome Delivery Architecture (SODA) concept, aiming to quantify and visualize the impact of products on business outcomes.Expertise and Contributions:With extensive experience in lean development, Scrum, DevOps, and product management, I hold several certifications, including Certified Scrum Professional, Management 3.0, and PRINCE2® Foundation. My approach balances technical and managerial aspects of product development, focusing on quality, cost, delivery, and scope.
