I am currently a senior communication science and disorders major with a minor in psychology at Georgia Southern University. I have a passion for studying audiology and obtaining my doctorate in audiology soon. I hope to one day open up a private practice.At Georgia Southern University, I am an active member of the Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society, the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Student Academy of Audiology. Currently, I am an intern at the JA Discovery Center on campus. I was previously an employee of the Chick-fil-A on campus as well. I also have experience working in the educational field as a paraprofessional back in my hometown of Dublin, GA. I formerly worked in the Fong Lab at Georgia Tech under the direction and supervision of Dr. Ming-fai Fong, where I studied the visual cortical area of the brain in mice after temporary visual impairment to investigate if homeostatic plasticity had occurred in the mice and to determine how the synaptic strength of neurons in the mice's brain had been affected.
