FirstStepNYC is a public-private partnership with NYC Department of Education, NYC Administration for Children's Services, and is our city’s first co-located, state of the art, early education center which provides education services to at-risk children ages six weeks to five years. The center is co-located with PS/IS 41, in Brownsville, Brooklyn, a K-8 school. It also includes the first-ever, citywide Early Education Leadership Institute, which will develop the next generation of leaders in early childhood education and highlight the most effective ways to support our youngest residents for kindergarten and future academic success.
