Master’s in clinical neuropsychology with a thesis on Parkinson and mind-wandering (Geffen et al., 2017), PhD candidate in neuropsychiatry with a focus on abnormal functional brain connectivity and resting networks in Schizophrenia and OCD, in association with symptomatology, cognitive and behavioral measures, using rsfMRI data (Geffen et al., 2022; Geffen et al., 2024 in review).I’m a hard worker who gets stuff done, including multi-tasking. I’m a good learner with the ability to adopt new tools and skills fast, also outside my previous comfort zones (e.g., a PhD requiring new languages: German, R, Matlab); I’m highly independent but also very used to teamwork – and enjoy it. For my PhD at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, I wrote the design, acquired an independent grant (from DAAD), and executed the plan. I’m currently searching for opportunities in brain tech that combine knowledge from neuroscience /cognition /clinical neuropsychology with work in neuropsychiatric and neurological diseases, aging, self-empowerment.
