I have over 15 years of experience in public schools and higher education as a teacher and professor. My individual and collaborative efforts have garnered over $16,000,000 of funding, including as the founder and coordinator of the Educational Technology & Distance Learning Program for the School Of Education at California State University, Chico. I have multiple published manuscripts and book chapters, and have presented at conferences nationally. I have also been an invited reviewer by book and manuscript publishers, seeking consultation. My research focuses on designing access to effective educational curriculum, interventions, and supports for adolescents and young adults from underserved populations. Specifically, I am working with schools to find effective strategies for increasing access to general education curriculum in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for K-12 students with disabilities. A complementary research interest is encompassing Instructional and Assistive Technology to increase academic success and engagement of students with disabilities.
