My new role as Deputy Commissioner IT / Team Lead (Information Security and IT Governance) at the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB). Currently, as Team Lead of Information Security and IT Governance, I am leading the digitalization project of all records since the inception of SRB to create a paperless environment. I also lead IT Security and Governance, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Operations, including planning, execution, and documentation of emergency procedures. I have a demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategies for maintaining business continuity.

My responsibilities included the strategic implementation of the institute's vision and objectives, ensuring that the training programs aligned with the broader goals of SRB.I was deeply involved in resource management, overseeing the allocation and utilization of both human and material resources to maximize the institute's effectiveness. My role also encompassed developing and implementing comprehensive training plans tailored to the needs of fiscal management professionals. These plans were designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants, ensuring that they received the highest quality of education and training.Additionally, I was responsible for ensuring the excellence of training delivery, monitoring the curriculum's effectiveness, and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes. My leadership in this role contributed significantly to the success of SIFM as a premier institution for fiscal management training in the region.

As Head of IT at the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), I played a pivotal role in transforming the organization’s technological landscape. I successfully led the implementation of e-payment solutions for tax collection through 1-Link first time in Pakistan for the Government Dept to use ADC channals, which revolutionized the tax collection process by making it more accessible and secure for taxpayers. I was responsible for the design and deployment of Tier 3 data centers, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and robust security for critical data. Additionally, I developed and executed comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP), safeguarding operations against disruptions. My leadership also extended to implementing advanced IT operations and infrastructure network monitoring solutions, which significantly improved operational efficiency, resilience, and security, driving SRB’s mission-critical functions towards greater reliability and effectiveness.

In my role as Consultant IT at the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), I was instrumental in shaping and executing the organization’s IT strategy during a critical period of development. My responsibilities included overseeing the implementation of a robust IT strategy that aligned with SRB’s goals, ensuring that all technological initiatives were designed to enhance operational efficiency and support the organization's growth.One of my key achievements was the establishment and optimization of a new data center. I led the development and implementation of IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which were designed to ensure that the data center operated at peak efficiency and adhered to the highest industry standards. These SOPs covered a wide range of IT operations, including network management, data security, and disaster recovery, ensuring that best market practices were consistently adopted.Additionally, I was involved in resource management, overseeing the allocation and utilization of IT resources to maximize productivity and ensure the seamless operation of SRB’s IT infrastructure. My role required close collaboration with various departments to ensure that IT solutions were effectively integrated into the broader organizational framework, supporting SRB’s mission of efficient revenue collection and management.My contributions as Consultant IT were critical in establishing a solid technological foundation for SRB, enabling the organization to meet its objectives with greater efficiency and security.

Working with the business sponsor/lead(s) and project teams, provide leadership and consulting expertise for directing all parts of the project management from initiation to completion including oversight of project feasibility, approvals, financials and plans.

As Head of IT Operations/Infrastructure, I was responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive IT strategies that significantly enhanced the organization’s technological capabilities. I focused on creating cost-effective solutions that aligned with the company's business goals while optimizing operational efficiency.One of my major contributions was the development and execution of an ITIL-based Service Management Roadmap, which included the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient IT service delivery. I also led key initiatives such as the design and implementation of desktop cloud management strategies, which streamlined desktop operations and improved overall system performance.In addition, I oversaw the integration and rationalization of branch and data center operations, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimized resource utilization across multiple locations. My leadership in these projects resulted in significant improvements in IT infrastructure reliability and efficiency.Another key project under my purview was the implementation of outsourced call center solutions, which not only enhanced customer service capabilities but also resulted in substantial cost savings of approximately $0.8 million. As Resident Vice President (RVP) and Project Lead in the Infrastructure Operation Department at Faysal Bank, I was responsible for the nationwide service delivery and management of several high-impact strategic projects. My primary focus was on the seamless IT separation and integration of The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), a critical project that required meticulous planning and execution to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.I led the development and implementation of strategies for desktop cloud management and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), which significantly improved the flexibility and security of the bank's IT operations. This initiative enabled efficient management of desktop environments across multiple branches, reducing hardware dependency and enhancing user experience.Additionally, I oversaw the integration of branches and data centers, ensuring that all locations were fully operational and aligned with the new organizational structure post-merger. This involved the rationalization of IT resources to optimize performance and reduce costs while maintaining high service standards across the network.My leadership in these projects was crucial in ensuring a smooth transition during the bank’s integration process, with minimal disruption to services. Played active role in designing and implementation of Data / Voice infrastructure with careful consideration of safeguarding the two networks. As Senior Country Communications Engineer, designed and implemented the countrywide TCP/IP network for DHL Pakistan across five sites (Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, and Islamabad) and International connectivity as part of the initiative to migrate the existing X.25 network without change of telecom provider.
