Many of the tax return I prepared in conjunction with the audit, involved me needing to develop various computational spreadsheets and improve existing spreadsheets. Some of the spreadsheets I produced are used for tax projections, reconciliations of tax & book basis, tax consequences of selling buildings, and other computations. I also assisted in training new employees and interns on company procedures and software utilization.

I worked at the University full time while attending my master's program courses in the evenings. When I first started, I worked for the accounting department. My primary duties involved proctoring exams for professors, grading & alphabetizing exams, and assisted the teachers with many miscellaneous projects. After one semester, I became the graduate assistant to the Dean of the Business College. Under this role, I assisted the Dean as well as the department heads of the various majors of business on various projects. I also worked closely with the Director of Marketing to plan and execute a large number of programs and events on campus. To promote these events, I designed handouts and posters that were displayed all over campus and online. I developed various spreadsheets that we used to track and analyze our success of the events. One of the larger projects I worked on was the development of a new filing system for the College of Business that was used to organize and maintain the scholarship program records.

In this role, I assisted with the payroll process by ensuring that the office received all employee timecards every week and that they were properly recorded. On a daily basis, I recorded all accounts payable bills timely. I also handled the accounts receivable process by recording deposits and verifying customer payments received.

Utilizing the Sage Timberline ERP system, I was tasked with creating new subsidiary companies as needed. For the main operating company, I also timely reconciled the monthly bank statements that were about 10-15 pages each month. One of the projects that I spearheaded for the operating company was organization and management of all legal situations.
