Tal Dehtiar is based in Oakville, Ontario. Tal is the Founder and President of Oliberte Limited, a sustainable company with a diverse focus on boots, sandals, safety shoes hats, wax and medical face masks made in Canada. Tal also runs Viking Sandals that was established in 1971 and Mellow Walk Safety that was launched in 1993 and manufactures its footwear in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Oliberte also purchased Butler Boots in 2023.In 2023, Tal purchased Ontario-focused soil and garden products producer, Pefferlaw Peat Products which was established in 1954.In 2004, he co-founded MBAs Without Borders, an international charity that was acquired by Pixera Global in 2009.Tal Dehtiar received his MBA from DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University and has a BA in Communications from the University of Western Ontario. Tal has traveled, worked, studied or lived in over 50 countries and speaks English, Russian, Hebrew and Spanish. He is a recipient of the Ontario Global Trader Award, McMaster's Arch Award and Fast Company named Tal one of its top 100 Most Creative People. Tal has also been nominated for the YMCA Peace Award, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.
