I have grown up in East Africa and moved to the UK for medical school, working for the Royal Navy as a Medical Officer since University at Cardiff Medical School.Working for the Royal Navy has given me a great breadth of skills including leadership, team working, management, discipline and organisation. I have led medical teams all over the world, working with hospitals and medical centres on 6 continents in caring for sailors on deployments. This work requires advance planning and both emergency and primary care skills which can be applied in a variety of other medical roles.As part of my Naval training I have qualifications in aviation medicine, diving medicine, trauma skills and advanced life support.I have a passion for expedition work which started during my childhood in Africa where I would constantly be exploring the continent with my family. I hope to use this experience and my medical training to provide medical cover to expeditions to the remotest corners of the globe.
