Part of e-gnition Formula Student Club. Responsible for the State Estimation of a Self-Driving Race Car through sensor fusion of IMU, GPS and SLAM readings. Implementation of the Extended Kalman Filter in C++ and ROS.

Graduate Teaching Assistant for Modelling and Control of Dynamic Systems.• Assisted students in learning key concepts of Control Systems: system modelling using first principles, Laplace transform, system response, frequency response, root locus, stability analysis, steady state error, feedback and controller design.• Conducted labs where students evaluated system parameters, observed system frequency response, designed and implemented PID controllers. • Created teaching materials, graded student works and held office hours to ensure student learning.• Helped with developing course material and ABET accreditation of the course.• Coordinated responsibilities and schedules of other TAs for the course.• Conducted trainings for new Teaching Assistants.

Project: Performance assured reactive control under sensor degradation for autonomous VTOL aircraft.• Defined safe velocity envelope based on environment and UAV performance information.• Quantified controller performance.• Developed methodology to relate sensor performance and controller performance to plan safe trajectories to avoid obstacles. Verified the methodology using Simulink model.• Published a first-author peer-reviewed paper at Vertical Flight Society Forum 76 (Online, Oct 6-8, 2020).

Project Manager of the Manufacturing and Engineering trainee pool. Coordinated the trainee pool that consisted of 7 engineers from 7 different countries (Malaysia, USA, Russia, China, Ecuador, Romania and Brazil). Interface with Management. Budgeting. Projects:• Flat spot detection. Development of an objective method to detect flat spots in tires based on force variation curves using MATLAB.• 3D printing of Thermoplastic Vulcanizate (TPV). Suitability testing of a newly developed material for 3D printing applications.• Evaluation and definition of mold coating for production of a new type of studs. Mold fouling prevention.

Projects: • Project Manager for retrofitting an extrusion line to solve the porosity problem of new compounds. Design and installation of the system that included conveyor belt, nozzles, main and drainage pumps. Saved 130,000EUR to the company without compromising product quality.• Methodology to determine variable and fixed headcounts for maintenance departments. Identifying criteria that influence headcount and extent to which these criteria influence the headcount. Companywide project that involved trainees from plants in other countries (China, Malaysia and Ecuador).Daily activities included:• Creating equipment entries, technical place entries and automated work orders in SAP.• SAP inventory of plant conveyor belts, motors and motor control units.• Shop floor experience in the Tire Building department: hands-on experience in tire building and setting up of the tire building machines with rotating shift schedule 2-1-2-3 for the period of one month.• Introduction to functions of Mixing, Extrusion, Cutting, Calendering, Tire Building, Curing and Final Finish departments.• Material safety datasheets for Mixing department.

Worked in Mechanical Maintenance department (IB MOA). Internship program included help and support in maintenance of pumps, compressors, bearing units and electrical motors, review of industrial standards and technical drawings, work with balancing equipment by Schenck and measuring equipment (dial indicator, depth meter and others), seal test using monochromatic light

Worked in Mechanical & Piping Group and provided support to Engineers. Internship program included introduction to Piping Engineering, Material Aspects, Applied Mechanics, Basic Theory of Design, Piping standards, Piping Stress Analysis

General introduction to rotating equipment, including steam turbines and centrifugal pumps. Overview of blueprints of steam turbines, industrial standards and working practices employed at the station.
