The Youth Experiential Training Institute (Y.E.T.I.) uses the outdoors as a tool to help students reach their full potential. Our mission is to develop grit in all youth through challenging outdoor adventures. Our quest is to make the outdoors accessible to all youth so that they can experience the inclusion of nature.As the Executive Director I expanded our programs from three a year to three a month over the course of a year, serving over 150 youth in the King County area. I leveraged community relationships to raise funds through grants as well as organized our first ever gala which raising over $60,000. To track our income, I created a financial tracking system which allowed us to create a working annual budget. To help support the increase in programs I also tripled our volunteer base by increasing our marketing and outreach.

Assistant Program Director 2016-2017LAUNCH is an educational organization that collaborates with families, schools, and community partners to engage children and prepare them for school and life success. We provide equitable access to quality preschool, after school programs, and summer opportunities.As a Program Director, I cultivate and maintain relationships with Seattle Public Schools, parents, and children. I oversee and evaluate our after school programing, manage a team of five, and balance the budget. In the last two years I have grown our after school program from 45 to 60 students, despite rising space limitations. I created marketing materials, attended recruitment events, and built strong relationships with community partners.

Feet First is an advocacy organization that promotes walkable communities through public health research, discussions with government agencies, and organizing community events.I worked on the Walkable Washington Symposium which brings communities together to discuss pedestrian issues and share inspiring projects. Using Podio online software, I created a project plan, delegated tasks, and tracked our progress. I lead the team in researching new case studies and made improvements to the case study library website.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association serves individuals and families who are living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and other muscle-debilitating disease by providing care and leading research across diseases to accelerate treatments and cures.As a fundraising coordinator, I identified new prospects and delivered presentations that motivated them to become donors. I oversaw and executed four major fundraising event and raised over $150,000 of new income.

As the Graduate Assistant in the Community Engagement office I oversaw the service learning projects of 40 student groups by coordinating community partnership, brainstorming project ideas, and securing funding. I also developed a workshop on cultural competency to better inform our students and volunteers about their impact on the community.
