• Outdoor Lab Academy: Worked with socially distant groups of 4 children in different grades by monitoring individualized daily assignments and/or calls and aiding with classwork as needed.• Camp Sertoma: Counselor for the week-long residential camp for children ages 7-13, who are either underprivileged or have a speech or hearing impairment. My responsibilities included 24-hour supervision of 8 children and scheduling activities such as swimming lessons, archery, and overnight camping. During this summer I took initiative to self-learn ASL related to camp activities in order to better communicate with my hearing-impaired campers.• Camp Lion’s Den: Week-long residential camp for campers older than 7 with visual impairments. This entailed modifying activities such as tactile crafts, rope guided hiking, and kick “beeper” ball to be accessible at all impairment levels.• Camp Sunshine: Counselor at weekend residential respite camp for children and adults with severe or profound disabilities who require one-on-one assistance with feeding, dressing, or personal hygiene or possess self-help skills.• Team Ventures: Led individuals and groups through customized activities and challenges designed to promote communication and teamwork.

Worked as a night shift nursing aide in the postpartum department of REX's Women's Center for 10-weeks. Responsibilities included caring for up to 5 mom-baby couplets and learning the role of a postpartum nurse. This position taught me techniques in assisting mothers in breastfeeding, caring for their newborns, and helping to advocate for patient rights.
