Since I first started working in the State Hospital Eye Clinic in Windhoek in 1989 as a medical officer, I knew Ophthalmology was the field for me. It is so rewarding to help young and old with their vision and/or appearance. After qualifying as an Ophthalmologist at the University of Natal, I started working in the Pretoria Eye Institute in the practice of Jan Talma. Later on my family and I moved to Windhoek, Namibia, were I joined Jonathan Joffe at the Olympia Eye and Laser Centre. Since then the practice has grown in size and skills! Apart from the basic Ophthalmology field, I have special interests in Oculoplastic surgery, Medical retinas and Paediatric Opthalmology and Strabismus.
